Mezbaur Rahman Sumon: It is not like that. Actually, I had a meeting with Jaya a few months ago. We decided through discussion to return the government grant. Because our work is delayed due to various reasons. But the grant has certain rules. We do not want them to be broken or criticized. Since when the shooting of the film will start, it is not finalized yet. Moreover, the work of the film is not possible with the grant money. So we did not want to hold on to the grant amid these uncertainties.

Mezbaur Rahman Sumon: ‘Raeed’ is basically my company’s face card image. Jaya was also associated with government grants. Now that the work is delayed. Jaya left the matter to me. See, cinema is an art for me. No trade. I want to make it my own. As there was pressure on Jaya after receiving the grant, I was also feeling pressure as a producer. So it was decided to return the donation. And at the moment there is no Jaya as a producer. I am in talks with other companies as co-producers along with my company, hopefully the work will progress that way.

Mezbaur Rahman Sumon: Jaya is my friend. We have a long relationship. The production of ‘Raeed’ movie is not associated with it in any way. We still have the same friendship as before. We have come to this place through mutual discussion. So Jaya has moved, there is a big reason behind it, there is no room to think about it.
