Japanese saved up for Ferrari for 10 years, but the car burned down an hour after the purchase

A resident of Japan, a 33-year-old musical producer named Hongcon, spent ten years to fulfill the childhood dream-buy Ferrari 458 Spider, Liter.kz reports.

However, the joy of possessing a luxurious car lasted only an hour: shortly after leaving the road, the car flashed and burned almost to the ground.

About the incident Honcon himself told In the social network X, where he shared a photo of a burned car and described his emotions. According to him, from an early age he dreamed of a premium sports car and stubbornly accumulated money on Ferrari 458 Spider – a model with a medium -measurement layout and a folding hard top, released from 2011 to 2015. In the secondary market in Russia, such a car costs from 87 million tenge.

Honcon received his Ferrari on April 16 and almost immediately decided to test it in business. He went to the Shuto highway in Tokyo, but the trip was extremely short. Some time after the start of the movement, the car began to “boil”, the producer noticed smoke and stopped on the sidelines. Within twenty minutes, the flame completely destroyed the car body – only the edge of the front bumper survived.

Emergency services and police arrived at the scene, but it was not possible to save the car.

“My Ferrari burned down to the ground an hour after delivery. I keep a bet that I am the only one in all of Japan who was faced with such a problem,” Hongcon wrote.

The police are currently conducting an investigation to establish the causes of the fire. It is known that in the early 2010s, Ferrari recalled more than 1,200 coupes of the 458 model due to defective glue used in wheel arches. When overheating, this substance could ignite. Nevertheless, the Honcon car was released after the end of the response campaign and, according to preliminary data, was not included in its list.
