The First Ordinary General Assembly of the Caribbean Professional Baseball Confederation (CBPC), announced yesterday, within its process of growth and innovation, the inclusion, as a guest, of the Japan Breeze team from Japan, at the request of the Organizing Committee, to participate in the next Mexicali 2025 Caribbean Series, which will take place in that city from January 31 to February 7, 2025.

This information was released by the Commissioner of Professional Baseball of the Caribbean, Dr. Juan Francisco Puello Herrera, after concluding the activity held in the “Los Candiles” Hall of the Hotel Lucerna, in Mexicali, Baja California.
The tournament, which will be played at the rate of two matches a day at the “Nido de los Águilas” stadium from January 31 to February 7, 2025, will have a round-robin qualifying round, between January 31 and January 4. February.
The semi-final round will be played on the 5th, the 6th will be the match for third place and the 7th will be the grand final.
It was also reported that a tour of the Mexicali 2025 Caribbean Series trophy will soon take place in several Mexican cities, in a calendar that will be announced later. The presidents of the CBPC Member Leagues were present at the Assembly.
Carlos Manrique, from the Mexican Pacific League, was the host; for the Puerto Rico Professional Baseball League “Roberto Clemente” did Juan Antonio Flores Galarza; Vitelio Mejía for the Professional Baseball League of the Dominican Republic and Giuseppe Palmisano, for the Venezuelan Professional Baseball League.
Antonio José Herrera, Executive Secretary of the CBPC, also attended, as well as a representation of the invited team and Yamil Benítez, president of the Confederation of Professional Baseball Players of the Caribbean, among others. On behalf of the co-founder of Japan Breeze, Mr. Erwin Miyasaka, he said that presence in the Caribbean Series is the realization of a dream for his league.
