Jana Nagyová (64): The amount of her pension will make your jaw drop

Recently, the film Two words as a key, starring Nagyová, was released in cinemas. „It’s a big challenge for me. When a woman after sixty starts working and still has so much courage or audacity to stand in front of the cameras? In short, I want to show that I can still do something and that I still have something in me and that I have something to say to the audience,” the actress confided to idnes.cz.

Among other things, she revealed that she is already receiving a pension. “I take Slovak. You will be surprised, but because I worked in a theater in Slovakia for ten years, I get a small pension for coffee from Slovakia. And since I also lived in the Czech Republic, had a company and paid social benefits, I should also receive a Czech pension. That’s it for another coffee. That is, in one leg and in the other leg,” says Nagyová.

The fairy-tale series by Václav Vorlíček and Miloš Macourek Arabela shot Jana Nagyová to the limelight of popularity, yet she used it minimally and was cast in unremarkable roles. The filmmakers quickly forgot about her, which she surprisingly didn’t mind. After her divorce from Mir Kubovič, she married businessman Harald Schlegel and moved to Germany.

In the 1990s, after the divorce, she returned to Prague for a while, but her third husband, Toni Pulm, “kidnapped” her again across the border, to Elsdorf, near Cologne, where she still lives, but returns to the Czech Republic for work.
