It is needless to say how widespread the popularity of Bangladeshi band music is in West Bengal. It is said that various bands have been formed there after watching the rock stars of Bangladesh. One such exemplary star is James; Its popularity in Kolkata is unique. This rock star has been to the City of Joy many times and has played music. He was even seen as a judge in a music reality show there.

In the last four years in Calcutta, James has not sung! Although busy with concerts throughout the country and abroad, Nagarbaul did not play in Mamata’s state due to unknown reasons.

However, after a break of a recent year, James is coming back to the Kolkata stage. This living legend of Bengali band music will sing at the concert to be held at the Netaji Indoor Stadium on March 3. Forum for Durgotsava is organizing this concert titled ‘Songs of Worshippers’.

Regarding his visit to Kolkata again, James told Bangla Tribune, ‘I will appear before the people of Opar Bengal after a long time. I hope that I can fill everyone’s heart with songs.’

Kolkata’s most successful band ‘Fossils’ will perform in addition to Nagarbaul in the concert. Rupam Islam, the leader of this band, is also a fan of James. As a result, the people of Kolkata will witness the union of two stars as well as two Bengals in one song.

Incidentally, Rupam and his team ‘Fossils’ came to perform at Dhaka University on December 8. Another legendary band from Kolkata ‘Chandrabindu’ also performed at the same concert. On the other hand, James’ last concert outside the country was on February 10, in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
