Mike Tyson Returns to the ring at the age of 58. Meanwhile, Paul climbed the square circle at the age of 27. This means that there is a 31 year difference between these two boxers.
The warning given by Holyfield was not without reason. Because, he returned to the boxing ring in 2021 when he faced Vitor Belfort. Even though in experience The Real Deal is superior on paper, it is actually like a punching bag to its opponents.
When the opening bell rang, Holyfield, who was known for possessing the skills that once made him a respected champion, was now a distant memory as Belfort dispatched his opponent at will. Luckily, the referee stepped in and stopped the fight after less than two minutes.
When asked what lessons he could impart to Tyson from his experience boxing at the age of 58, Holyfield told Fight Hub that the young fighter’s speed would be something the heavyweight icon would need to be wary of.
“I don’t know how confident Jake Paul is, but he will be much faster. If he stays close to Mike, then his chances of winning will be great. But if he tries to get away from Mike, then he will be caught,” explained Holyfield, quoted from GiveMeSport.
Not just a stern warning. Holyfield then offered some words of hope for Tyson. “Mike is like a snake. He will attack you, but if you attack him, you can strangle him because he pushes his feet because he is too close. If you give him space, you will be a danger,” concluded Holyfield.
