Jaiswal is India’s second, fourth all-time great – 2024-03-08 19:23:18

At the age of 22, Jasshwi Jaiswal is showing amazing performance in difficult formats like Tests. 3 centuries and half-centuries in 8 Test careers. Two of these are double centuries!

The left-handed batsman was 29 runs away from the Hazari club before the current Dharamshala Test against England. Jaiswal has set several records as soon as he joined the Hazari club.

Jaiswal’s only 16th Test innings since his debut in July 2023. He has already scored 1000 runs.

Hazar Jaiswal is the second fastest Indian batsman in Test after Vinod Kambli. Kambli took 14 innings, Jaiswal 16.

Jaiswal is now the fastest batsman to enter the Hazari club as an Indian opener. Earlier this record was held by Rohit Sharma. Rohit took 17 innings.

Not only that, Jaiswal holds the record for the fastest 1000 Test runs in the last 30 years. He is the fourth fastest on the all-time record.

Only one person – Australian legend Don Bradman – has scored 1000 runs faster than Jaiswal in Tests. Bradman reached this milestone in the seventh Test of his career, Jaiswal in the ninth.

Jaiswal’s records at a glance
* Second fastest 1000 by an Indian after Vinod Kambli
* Fewest 1000 runs in a Test innings by an Indian opener
* Only Bradman holds the record for fewer Tests than Jaiswal
* Record for fastest thousand in last 30 years.
