The leader of the parliamentary group of “There is such a people” Toshko Yordanov confirmed that the party will not support a government with the mandate of GERB and DPS, criticizing Boyko Borisov for proposing a politicized cabinet.
“GERB’s approach was not good from the beginning. They did not propose an expert but a political cabinet. The first mandate is already over as far as we are concerned, the support is only for the third mandate, if we get it,” said the leader of the ITN parliamentary group Toshko Yordanov, quoted by BGNES.
He accuses GERB that the party talked about an expert cabinet, but did not propose one.
“GERB did not propose an expert cabinet. When Borisov appeared and said that he proposed an expert cabinet, dominated by the prime minister, foreign minister and defense minister proposed by GERB, it was not an expert cabinet,” commented Yordanov.
According to the understanding of Yordanov and his colleagues from ITN, an expert cabinet consists only of experts, regardless of which party proposed them.
“Even at the beginning, to politicize half the ministers – that train has left. If they want to get on the train for the expert cabinet, the decision is in the third term with a different approach,” he commented.
Yordanov added that no more talks have been held with GERB, but even if there is a meeting next week and their vision of an expert office coincides, there is no chance that the position of ITN will change.
“The first mandate has deteriorated and there is no point in reviving it, because apart from DPS, no one else has said that they will support it, and we want to talk with the other parties so that there can be a truly expert cabinet that is widely supported” , believes the MP from ITN
He urged the president to think about which party to give the third mandate, and his formation will make an attempt to implement it, if, of course, the first two mandates are unsuccessful.
“If we get the third mandate, we will send invitations for a truly expert cabinet to all parties, including the PP-DB. There is quite a tolerable expertise and reasonable people in DB and it would be good if their people participated in an expert government, but in the PP part I have serious doubts that they can offer anything. But let’s see – they can surprise me”, said Toshko Yordanov.
On Vazrazhdane’s proposal to form a government without DPS and GERB, Yordanov said that the party had undergone “evolutionary development”.
“Are they on the right evolutionary path. There should be maximum broad support for a cabinet. We will talk to them if they have a mandate. But I don’t know how “Majesty” fits into this configuration. I am concerned about their behavior, the quality of their people, the problems with this person, who deals with things that are so legal, that have dragged people down. I’m talking about the European Union and NATO, and on the night of the elections, I have one thing in mind.” Yordanov added.
He approved the intention of “Vazrazhdane” to hold referendums, but declared himself “against” the country’s withdrawal from NATO.
