Bengaluru: Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) captain Pat Cummins warned against a run-fest in the Indian Premier League (IPL) match after his team’s win over Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). Players said it won’t work in every game. Cummins took three wickets in his four-over spell and gave away 43 runs in the second innings of the match. The Hyderabad-based franchise shared a short video of Cummins’ dressing room speech, where the captain boosted his team’s confidence and said that they are “terrified” when the opponents come to face SRH.
“I’ll keep saying, you’re going to hear us all the time. This is how we want to play. It’s not going to work every game. But I can tell you, when they come up against us and we get blown out, everybody gets scared. Is.” Some teams came out of the water before they even took the field, so, another great day, well done,” Cummins said. Recaping the match, after SRH were put in to bat, a blitz from Travis Head (102) and Heinrich Klaasen (67) took the visitors to 287/3.
In reply, Kohli (42) and du Plessis (62) provided ideal starts to the hosts, but the target became difficult to chase due to the continuous fall of wickets. Dinesh Karthik once again performed brilliantly with the bat with a sensational inning of 83 runs. Yet it was not enough to take his team across the finish line, as RCB lost by 25 runs. After suffering their sixth defeat of the season, RCB will travel to Eden Gardens to face Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) on Sunday, (ANI)
