A meeting of the registration commission was held to determine the powers of the representatives of the Extraordinary XXVI Congress of the Football Association of Ukraine.
Publika.az informs that during the meeting it was determined that all permanent members of the UAF who have the right to nominate a candidate for the position of the president of the institution submitted the protocols on this issue to their governing bodies. Andrey Shevchenko was nominated for the position of UAF president in all protocols.
The working group came to the conclusion that Shevchenko’s candidacy meets the requirements and criteria established by the Charter for the election of the UAF president. Also, according to the institution’s charter, a written consent was obtained from the candidate to participate in the presidential elections.
Thus, Andriy Shevchenko is the only candidate to be elected to the position of UAF president at the extraordinary XXVI Congress of the Ukrainian Football Association scheduled to be held on January 25, 2024.
FIFA and UEFA were informed about the results of the meetings of the commission and the working group.
