He stated that every soldier fighting in Gaza is more endangered than Prime Minister Netanyahu.
Lapid expressed his views in a post on the social media platform X, referring to a government meeting held on Sunday.
“A two-hour discussion in the government about incitement against him. There was no two-hour discussion about the 101 victims of Kibbutz Bari. There was no two-hour discussion about the opening of the school year in the north on September 1,” Lapid said in disbelief.
“Just the incitement against him is worth two hours of discussion? Is that all that matters?” he asked.
Criticizing the Israeli prime minister, Lapid said, “Netanyahu is not a victim, he is a crybaby and a coward. Every soldier in Gaza is more at risk than he is.”
The opposition leader accused Netanyahu of installing a “poison machine” and an “incitement machine” that is slowly taking over all media in Israel, “complaining that they are inciting against him.”
Ongoing Genocide
Currently on trial at the International Court of Justice on charges of genocide against Palestinians, Israel has been waging a devastating war on Gaza since October 7.
According to the Gaza Health Ministry, 38,584 Palestinians have been killed, and 88,881 injured in the ongoing Israeli genocide in Gaza as of October 7.
Additionally, 11,000 people are still unaccounted for, presumed dead under the rubble of their homes across the Gaza Strip.
