Israeli Army is blacklisted for harming children in conflict zones

The United Nations decided this Friday to include the Israeli Army on a “blacklist” of countries and entities accused of harming children in conflict zones.

This measure has generated controversy and has been described as “delusional” by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. However, inclusion on this list will not change the actions of the Israeli military, who have been defined by Netanyahu as “the most moral Army in the world.”

The Secretary General of the UN, Antonio Guterres, made the decision, and the Israeli Army will now accompany jihadist organizations such as the Islamic State or Boko Haram, as well as countries such as Afghanistan, Burma or Somalia.

In the past, the United Nations did not include Israel or the Palestinian organization Hamas on its blacklist of states and groups that violate children’s rights.
