Israel Won’t Stop This Madness Until We Stop It

NEW YORK – The UN special rapporteur on Palestine urged member states to impose sanctions on Israel along with an arms embargo until the Zionist regime stops “this madness”.

“Let’s be clear. “When the International Court of Justice (ICJ) ordered Israel to stop its attacks on Rafah, Israel stepped up its attacks on Rafah,” said Francesca Albanese to X.

The ICJ in its latest decision ordered Israel to immediately stop its military offensive on Rafah, the city in southern Gaza where more than 1.5 million Palestinian refugees have sought refuge.

“The news I received from the people trapped inside was horrific,” he said.

“Be assured: Israel will not stop this madness until WE stop it,” he said.

Albanese urged all UN member states to “impose #sanctions, arms embargo and suspend diplomatic/political relations with Israel until Israel stops its attacks.”

On Friday, the ICJ reaffirmed its previous order and indicated further steps include keeping the Rafah border crossing open and allowing investigators access to the blockaded enclave.

More than 35,800 Palestinians have been killed in Gaza, most of them women and children, and nearly 80,300 others have been injured since October following Hamas attacks.

More than seven months into Israel’s war, most of Gaza has been destroyed. The Zionist colonial regime also blocked food, clean water and medicine for Gaza residents.
