Israel will cause significant damage to Iran and Hezbollah

If they attack their territory, warns Yoav Gallant

He Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallantwarned again that they will cause “significant damage” to the Iranian regime and to Hezbollah terrorist group if the threats from both countries materialise into attacks on Israeli territory.

Gallant made the warnings as Hebrew troops continue to complete battle drills on the northern front, next to Lebanon, in anticipation of a full-scale confrontation in this part of the country where there is a daily exchange of fire.

“The enemies of Iran and Hezbollah threaten to harm us in ways they have not done in the past. Whoever does this can expect a blow from us like no other in the past. We have significant capabilities. I hope that they will reconsider and not lead to the outbreak of wars on additional fronts.”Gallant said, quoted in a military statement.

Speaking to new recruits at the Tel Hashomer military base, the minister added: “It must be made clear that the State of Israel is fighting for its existence in a hostile environment. We have been at war for 10 months on 7 different fronts. The key to our security is our people. We do not want this situation, but we must be prepared.”

The political adviser to Iran’s supreme leader, ali shamkhansaid preparations have already been made for a “severe punishment” by Israel.

“Preparations have been made for a severe punishment of a regime (Israel) that understands only the language of force”Shamkhani said in a message on social network X.

Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei vowed on July 31 that his country would avenge Haniyeh’s killing in a short-range rocket attack on his residence in Tehran, where he was on an official visit.

Shamkhani said Israel’s only goal in assassinating Haniyeh and killing people at the al-Tabain school in Gaza City is to stir up warmongering and derail attempts at a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip.

Early on Saturday, Israel bombed the Al-Tabain school that served as a shelter for displaced people from the war, killing more than 100 people.
