Israel: Video document of the knife attack on an 18-year-old girl in the city of Ramla

The Police published a video document of yesterday’s knife attack in the city of Ramla, Israel, with an 18-year-old victim.

According to information, the perpetrator was shot dead a short time later, while the 18-year-old is hospitalized in serious condition as she has a wound near the chest.

The video shows the assailant chasing the victim, punching him and then fleeing as he lies on the ground.

The Israeli police announced that they are investigating “the circumstances under which the attack took place” and pointed out that contrary to other reports the attacker had no accomplice.

“We quickly arrived on scene where we found an 18-year-old woman, conscious, with a stab wound to the upper body. We took care of the wound and stopped the bleeding,” said Meddy Amitai, a rescuer, quoted by a statement from the first aid service.

Near Tel Aviv, the city of Ramla is inhabited by Jews and Arabs.

Police have not released any further information on the identity or motive of the attacker at this time.
