The Israeli ambassador to Mexico, Einat Kranz Neiger, stated that given the threat of a repeat of the October 7 attack, her country has to destroy the military capabilities of the Hamas group.
“This terrorist organization openly claims that it will repeat the October 7 massacre over and over again. This is why Israel has to destroy the military capabilities of Hamas,” said the diplomat.
The representative of Israel participated on Sunday night in the inauguration of the illustration exhibitions, Voices of Pain, and photography, Reflections of Horror, at the Mexico Israel Cultural Institute.
The documentary #NOVA was also presented at the event, about the massacre that occurred at the music festival of the same name, where 379 people were murdered by Hamas, when they were celebrating peace and freedom.
Ambassador Kranz Neiger highlighted that the exhibitions and documentary convey the “immense pain of Israelis” caused by the brutality of Hamas.
“133 of our brothers and sisters remain kidnapped in Gaza. Every moment they remain there is a moment of suffering and danger to their lives. Everything must be done to release them immediately and without preconditions,” as he also regretted that nothing is known about their whereabouts and fate.
The Embassy of Israel in Mexico highlighted that the inauguration of the two exhibitions and the presentation of the documentary took place 24 hours after the attack, described as unprecedented, that Iran carried out on its territory.
“In the face of the attack carried out by Iran against Israel, it is a time to stand in solidarity with Israel and its people, and to send a clear message: Israel, the United States and their allies are fighting a brutal enemy that seeks power, destabilize the region and the destruction of our country.
“Israel deeply thanks all his friends in Mexico and around the world for expressing their support in various ways. In these critical moments, we hope to hear a united and firm voice of moral support for Israel in the face of this serious threat,” the diplomatic representation indicated.
Voices of Pain: Israeli Art in Times of Anguish is a series of works created by Israeli artists that express the pain of terrorism as an artistic response to the pain and horror experienced after the terrorist attack of October 7, 2023.
Reflections of Pain, by the Israeli photojournalist and documentary filmmaker, Ziv Koren, shows the images he captured in the kibbutzim, community agricultural villages, in the south of Israel, less than 24 hours after the terrorist attack,
For its part, #Nova, by director Dan Pe’er, shows the work done with the help of documentation collected from survivors of the music festival during the Hamas attack.
