Israel eliminates Hamas brigade defending Rafah

And kills the military leader of Al Fatah

He Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallanthe said during a visit to the south of the Gaza Stripwhich can now be considered eliminated brigade Hamas that defended Rafahwhich initiated the offensive in that area.

“The enemy’s Rafah brigade has been defeated in a major offensive launched by the 162nd division” by the Israeli army, which forced the displacement of more than a million Palestinians, the minister said in statements reported by the local press.

On the other hand, the Palestinian political-military organization Al Fatah denounced on Wednesday the death of Jalil al Maqdá, one of its senior commanders, as a result of an Israeli attack in southern Lebanon, being the first against a member of this group in more than ten months of clashes between Israel and Hezbollah.

His brother, Munir al-Maqda, leader of the Al-Aqsa Brigades – Fatah’s armed wing – in Lebanon, said the attack, which killed two other people, took place in the city of Sidon.

“The path to victory or martyrdom and murder makes us stronger,” he said, according to Filastin.

The attack hit a car carrying Al Maqda, a general in the Al Aqsa Brigades, as it passed through Sidon.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) has confirmed that the attack, in collaboration with the intelligence services, was launched against the vehicle in which Al Maqda was traveling, whom it has identified as a collaborator of Hezbollah and the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, along with his brother Munir.

The IDF has claimed that both brothers have been working “in the service of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard” by preparing and financing “terrorist attacks” in the West Bank.
