The Prime Minister of Israel, Benjamín Netanyahu, could propose to his security cabinet a plan to annexes parts of the Gaza Strip, in his attempt to maintain the commitment to religious Zionism, reports the Haaretz newspaper. This extreme right faction that supports Netanyahu is represented in the coalition government by the Minister of Finance, Bezalel Smotrich.
As the medium has been able to know, the alleged plan would consist in giving a period of several days to the Palestinian Movement Hamas to accept a high fire, avoiding that Israel begins to annex areas of the enclave. The measure would be presented to the members of the Executive after Netanyahu’s decision to increase the income of humanitarian aid to that territory, something that is rejected by Smotrich’s supporters.
Annexation would gradually continue until the entire enclave is part of the Hebrew State. Netanyahu would have assured its ministers that the Plan has the approval of the Trump administration.
Minister Smotrich himself addressed the restoration of Israeli settlements in Gaza on Tuesday, stating that something that was “an illusion” has now become a “realistic work plan.”
Netanyahu ruled out the complaints about famine in the Gaza Strip and cataloged them as “shameless lie.” With RT
