The Israeli military reported a massive shelling of the northern regions of the country, carried out from the territory of Lebanon, Liter.kz reports with reference to the official Telegram channel GULL.
According to the Israel Defense Forces, about 50 shells were fired on Sunday, September 8.
“About 30 shells were launched in the direction of Upper Galilee. Some of them were intercepted by air defense systems, the rest fell in open areas. About 20 launches were recorded in the Kiryat Shmona area, most of the shells were also shot down,” the source writes.
There is no information yet about casualties or consequences of the shelling.
Earlier, the Israeli army announced preparations for possible offensive actions on the Lebanese front.
