Israel Attacks Hudaydah Port in Yemen

It was reported that there were deaths and injuries in the attack carried out by Israeli warplanes on the Hudaydah Port on the Red Sea coast of Yemen, which is controlled by the Iranian-backed Houthis.

The Houthi-affiliated al-Masira TV channel reported that “the city of Hudaydah was targeted with a series of bombs.”

The report noted that there were deaths and injuries in the attacks on oil depots in the Hudaydah Port, but no information was given on the number.

The report also stated that many people suffered burns as a result of the attack.

Houthi spokesman Mohammed Abdusselam said in a statement on his X social media account that Israel’s brutal attack targeting civilian facilities, including oil tanks and a power plant in the Hudaydah Port, was carried out to force Yemen to stop its support for Gaza.

“This (stoppage of support to Gaza) is an unfulfilled dream. This attack will only increase the determination and resolve of the Yemeni people and armed forces,” Abdusselam said.

Israeli Parliament Speaker Amir Ohana shared a photo of the fires that broke out after the attack in Hudaydah on his X social media account and said, “This is a message to the entire Middle East.”

A powerful explosion caused by a drone strike occurred at 03:00 local time on Friday near the US Embassy in central Tel Aviv. One person was killed and four people were injured by shrapnel and the impact of the explosion.

The Houthis in Yemen announced that they targeted Tel Aviv with a new UAV called “Jaffa” that cannot be detected by radars and blocked by air defense systems.

The Houthis had announced that they would continue to target central Israel and that Tel Aviv was an “unsafe area” for them.

Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant said they would “give the necessary response” to the drone attack.
