The Island Rich boat was purchased by the England-based charity Youth With Mission. She plans to convert this vessel, with fundraising organized from an upcoming free concert in Conwy, and send it to Madagascar. The goal is to make it a hospital ship. The artist who will host this show will be soloist Anthony Stuart Lloyd from the male choir “Côr Meibion Maelgwn” based in Wales. “Anthony Stuart Lloyd is a Welsh bass-baritone… An international award-winning singer, he is one of Wales’ most acclaimed, versatile and engaging artists. He performs regularly in theatres, concert halls and cabaret stages across the UK, Europe, North America, the Middle East, the Far East and Australasia. He studied at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama and won the Royal National Eisteddfod ‘Blue Riband’, the Sir Geraint Evans Memorial Prize and the Welsh Arts Council Young Welsh Singer Award. He has sung with the Welsh Nation Opera, the Friborg Opera, the Opéra du Capitole de Toulouse, the London Symphony Orchestra and the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.
