This means that having to buy more will cost us a lot of money, so we think that replacing the battery may be an option, but how much does it cost us?
Currently, changing the AirPods battery is 59 euros, both in the 2nd generation Pro and in the normal first ones (in everything except the Max which will be at 89 euros). That is, depending on the model you have, it can be profitable or not. Because if you have the first ones that existed and that today we can find new ones for up to 99 euros… changing the battery and paying 59 euros makes no sense. Now, if you have pro ones, customized for almost 300 euros, for the cost of replacement you will have new ones again, so there would be no doubts about what we should do.
On the other hand we must take into account the box, since it also has its own autonomy, although it is usually more durable and the change should not be necessary, but it is something that we will still have to think about, especially if our headphones are many years old . .
In short, while it’s usually not a good option to repair something that already has a fairly degraded lifespan, in the case of AirPods, and for the current replacement price, it can be a great opportunity to get new headphones again without spending what they are really worth. You will simply need to take them to an Apple Store and they will do it for you in no time.
