Dark chocolate is defined as positive, even benign in most diets, as it has a strong antioxidant power and is also considered an excellent ally of the heart and of the entire cardiovascular system. In general, the dark variant is considered more useful as it provides a higher supply of Flavonoids which are allies of the skin, an excellent compendium of vitamins and mineral salts, such as calcium and magnesium. Thanks to its good properties on the heart, it also gradually manages to reduce hypertension and consumed every day but in quantities limited to 30 grams per day, it provides a good form of limitation of high cholesterol, also because it stimulates blood circulation, provided consume them in the right and limited quantities, for example at the end of a meal or even just before, being able to fill you up relatively easily.

If you exaggerate, however, even dark chocolate can become a problem for the body, especially because in excessive quantities it can develop gastrointestinal problems, and weight gain, although it is difficult to attribute this exclusively to chocolate which, to be positively effective, must be at least pure. 75%. The higher the intake of pure cocoa, the lower the intake of milk and especially sweeteners such as sugar which obviously do not have a positive impact on the body.

As always, it is the quantity that causes the problem as well as the indiscriminate abuse of a food which manages to dispel the myth of good food being “bad for you”.
