Saeed Abyar, a general described as an Iranian military adviser, was the target of an Israeli airstrike on Monday morning.
According to the Syrian government news agency, A LOTthe attack resulted in the deaths of around 17 people and material losses.
Commander of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Major General Hossein Salami said the Israeli regime must bear the consequences and wait for a response to Abyar’s martyrdom.
“Zionist criminals who kill children must know that they will pay for the blood of innocent people shed in this crime; they must wait for the answer,” he said, Thursday (6/6/2024).
The attack that killed Abyar occurred just weeks after Iran and Israel almost went to war.
It began with an Israeli airstrike on the Iranian consulate in Syria that killed several top officials of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, including two of its senior generals.
Tehran then retaliated by launching an unprecedented direct attack on Israel.
Iran fired more than 350 drones and missiles, which the Zionist regime said, most of them were intercepted with the help of its allies including the United States and Britain.
