Iran demands warning before attacking Israel – 2024-04-16 04:54:11

Iran gave notice before drone and missile attack on Israel. Turkish, Jordanian and Iraqi officials said on Sunday (April 14). But US officials have denied the warning. British news agency Reuters reported this news.

Iran’s Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdullahian said several neighboring countries and Israel’s ally, the United States, were given 72 hours notice of the attack.

Turkey’s foreign ministry said it had spoken with both Washington and Tehran before the attack.

A Turkish diplomatic source said Iran had vowed to respond to the Israeli attack on the Iranian consulate in Damascus.

Therefore, it is reported that Türkiye was aware of this possible reaction of Iran. As a result, the Iranian attack was not surprising.

A senior official in US President Joe Biden’s administration, however, denied the Iranian foreign minister’s claims. He said Washington communicated with Iran through Swiss intermediaries. But they did not receive any notice 72 hours before the attack.

Regarding Iran’s statement about advance notice of the attack, US officials said that this is not true at all. They did not give any notice. They did not say which places will be attacked. Civilians were not even told to evacuate from those places.

They claim that Iran sent a message to the United States after the attack. The objective of this Iranian attack was very destructive.

Iran launched hundreds of drone and missile attacks on Israel on Saturday night in retaliation for the missile attack on the Iranian consulate in Damascus, the capital of Syria, on April 1.
