Iran and Israel’s War Begins! 100 Missiles and Drones Launched into Zionist Territory

TEL AVIV – Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Iran said his party launched dozens of drones and missiles at Israel on Saturday night (13/4/2024). It was an attack that could trigger a major escalation between the regional arch foes, and the US has vowed to support Israel.

Iran has vowed retaliation for what it calls an Israeli attack on its consulate in Damascus on April 1 that killed seven Revolutionary Guard officers including two senior commanders and says the attack was punishment for “Israeli crimes”. Israel did not confirm or deny responsibility for the consulate attack.

“If the Israeli regime makes another mistake, Iran’s response will be much more severe,” Iran’s UN mission said, warning the US to “stay away from it”. However, they also said Iran now “considers the matter to be resolved”.

US President Joe Biden, who on Friday had warned Iran against carrying out attacks, cut short a visit to his home state of Delaware to meet with national security advisers in the White House Situation Room, an official said. He promised to support Israel.

The Gaza war between Israel and Hamas, now in its seventh month, has raised tensions in the region, spilling over into frontlines with Lebanon and Syria and triggering long-range attacks on Israeli targets from as far away as Yemen and Iraq.
