Ioannina: Fire Department and EMAK alert – 12 German climbers are missing

An alarm has been raised at the Fire Department and EMAK in Ioannina, as a group of German climbers did not appear on Sunday afternoon (21/4) at the place where they had an appointment with their guide.

They are 12 Germans who had started hiking from Lake Pigon Aoos in the direction of Vovousa.

The climbers had an appointment at a certain point with a guide, who was waiting for them but they did not show up, according to EpirusPost.

Thus, he informed the Fire Department and an operation is already underway to locate them.

As reported by the newspaper “Iphirotikos Agon”, a vehicle with two people from the Metsovo Fire Department, a vehicle with two people from the Miliotades Fire Department and a vehicle with three people from the 5th EMAK have been mobilized.
