According to Mr. Le The Anh, at noon yesterday (March 9), family members of two children, HMB (born in 2015) and YTB (born in 2017, residing in Lien Son town, Lak district) discovered that the two children were not at home. organized a search. By the evening of the same day, the children’s family still could not find them so they reported them to the authorities.
Local authorities and family members organized a search and at about 9:30 p.m. the same day, they discovered both children drowned in the Lak Lake area, about 500m from the house.
“HMB and YTB are relatives and are in extremely difficult circumstances. Immediately after the incident, the local government organized visits and supported the family to take care of the children’s funeral. The initially determined cause was because the two children were at home, unattended, so they invited each other to the Lak Lake area to play and unfortunately drowned,” Mr. Le The Anh said.
