Vienna (OTS) – The European Union is currently confronted with a multitude of crises and challenges. There are military conflicts in Europe’s neighborhood, parts of the European economy are still affected by exogenous crises of recent years, Europe’s global economic relevance is gradually decreasing and Europe is undermining its international competitiveness through over-regulation and bureaucratic requirements.
In addition to massive regulatory costs, high energy costs, higher labor and capital costs, lengthy approval procedures and generally difficult investment conditions result in a significant burden for Europe’s internationally operating companies. Nevertheless, it should be noted that the European Union is a clear success story, especially from the Austrian perspective – we will inform you at a press conference about what measures are needed to correct the course of the European Union and what measures are necessary for the domestic industry.
