News from Angola – Total Internet traffic in Angola broke a record in August, and the provider with the largest share is a technology multinational TVCABO.
According to the statement that Notícias de Angola had access to this Thursday, Angonix, considered the largest data traffic exchange point in Angola, broke a new historical record last August, by processing 33.3 GB of internal traffic .

The recent change in post-pandemic consumption behaviors and, more recently, the August elections contributed to these results.
The internet acts as a catalyst for the country’s economic and digital transformation, according to Francisco Ferreira, General Director of TVCABO “the number of residential customers with fixed broadband has increased and this is the ideal time to accelerate digital transformation and invest in innovation, in a to respond to the significant increase in the number of accesses and intensity of use”.
The company is considered a pioneer in the distribution of data and content via cable on the African continent, also standing out for its social concern.
Over the last 16 years, the expansion and modernization of its network and services has been continuous, following not only the growth of the Luanda area, but also the development of other large cities in the country such as Benguela, Lubango, Huambo, Soyo and the Lobito.
