Intensive care and palliative capacity is being increased at Düzce Atatürk State Hospital

DÜZCE(İHA) – With the second revision work carried out at the Atatürk State Hospital affiliated with the Düzce Health Directorate, the capacity of the intensive care unit will be increased, and the number of palliative beds will increase to 36 and the number of tertiary intensive care beds to 43.

Investments in the health sector continue in Düzce. Following the renovations and works carried out while providing service at Düzce Atatürk State Hospital, the works in the vacant area of ​​the Maternity and Child services, which were moved to the Muncurlu additional service building, were accelerated. The second revision work is being carried out at Düzce Atatürk State Hospital, which continues to develop and renew in order to provide the best diagnosis and treatment service to patients. Within the scope of the works; 7-bed third level Cardiovascular Surgery Intensive Care, 6-bed second level Coronary Intensive Care and 2 Cardiovascular Surgery Operating Rooms are being created in physical areas that comply with the criteria of the Ministry of Health for the infrastructure of the Heart Center. While the works regarding the previously allocated Angiography device are being completed, the Heart Center is being put into service at the end of the renovation process.

The hospital continues its efforts to improve and increase the capacity of intensive care areas with third-level adult intensive care areas. The third-level Anesthesia and Reanimation Intensive Care areas, which have a bed capacity of 29, are expected to provide services with a bed capacity of 43 after the renovation.

Palliative areas, which are becoming increasingly important due to the increase in the elderly population and chronic diseases all over the world, will increase the capacity of the current palliative care area from 22 beds to 36 beds after the renovation. This care, which is very important for both the patient and the family, will provide an extra support layer for all procedures related to the patient’s treatment and will improve the treatment process. – DÜZCE
