SAN LUIS POTOSÍ, Mexico.- The Hannah Arendt Institute of Artivism (INSTAR) called for its V Film Festival, which will be held in several venues around the world, simultaneously, between October 28 and November 3, 2024 .
As noted in the previous year’s call, the festival seeks to support international independent production and privilege audiovisuals with “risky aesthetic and narrative proposals, especially those produced in dictatorial or authoritarian contexts.”
The call for the V Festival is aimed at filmmakers of works completed between 2022 and the current year, of any nationality, length and format.
With no limit on works per author, the festival rules stipulate that a single competitive section will be established, where feature-length, medium-length and short films will coexist. There will also be no gender restriction. Works from expanded cinema, experimental cinema and from the field of visual arts will be included.
Registration of the works, open until August 3, 2024, will be carried out through the Filmfreeway platform.
The audiovisuals selected for the contest and the collateral samples will be announced in September of this year.
