Inspiring young people motivates Edgar Vivar

He never lacks work, and his talent, technique and career have come together to take him along the paths of cinema, theater, television and platforms, in a successful way, also driven by the affection of the public.

You may say “Botija”, “Ñoño”, “Señor Barriga”, “Hipólito Menchaca”, “Renato Villamar”, “Papá Pacheco” or “Balabán”, but putting aside all those characters and others, it is Edgar Vivar. Master Vivar.

There is an extensive team of writers, production and artistic talent that we work for the same objective. I dare say that Vecinos is already a Mexican classic or is about to be one.

Vecinos, where Vivar plays “Hipólito Menchaca” has returned with surprises, special guests and entanglements between the characters.

“Different situations arise. The characters never remain static. New lovers appear to ‘Hipolito’. We always try to ensure that the series is not lacking in attractions and is interesting for people,” he said by telephone.

On the other hand, the actor considered himself a “lucky man” because life has led him through film, theater, TV and platform projects, which have transcended.

“I have been a lucky man. I do nothing but thank God because he has put me in very beautiful projects. I have an advantage, and that is that I can choose what I want to do and I choose to do beautiful things, because life is about doing beautiful things that in turn inspire. Contrary to other actors in the “Chespirito” programs, Edgar closed the cycle of his characters when they ended, and his desire was and will always be to diversify his career and not live in the past.

“The easiest thing would have been to not leave my comfort zone. Out of respect for the audience, for ‘Chespirito’ and for the characters themselves, I stopped doing them. For ‘Ñoño’ we had to put a bigger wig on him every time, and the fact is that God is good and forgives, but time does not.

“Once the program ended, I didn’t have a job because the programs continued to be broadcast in repetitions, so they didn’t give me a job. The producers told me, ‘You’re on the air,’ and I told them, ‘Well, yes, but they were repetitions, so I took my things and went to Spain and Argentina. I made and produced things. You make the decisions you think are appropriate, either you stay in your comfort zones, or you take the bull by the horns,” he said. .
