INE highlights consistency and coincidence between the results of the Quick Count, PREP and District Counts in the presidential election

The calculations in the 300 District Councils of the election for the Presidency of the Republic have concluded. With 100% of the district counts, the National Electoral Institute (INE) confirmed the consistency and full coincidence between the results of the Quick Counts, the Preliminary Electoral Results Program (PREP) and the district counts.

With this, the Institute demonstrated that it has robust, verifiable and transparent instruments that give confidence to the entire country.

In the process of counting the presidential election, it was reported in the extraordinary session of the General Council that it was planned to recount 67.3% of the electoral packages, in order to review and correct any type of inconsistency or irregularity that had arisen after the closing. of the Electoral Day of last June 2; However, according to the work meetings and agreements made by each of the District Councils, 68.16% of electoral packages were counted.

The stage of the district counts of the federal elections for federal deputies and senators will end until next Saturday, June 8, as established by Article 311 of the General Law of Electoral Institutions and Procedures (LGIPE).
