In this sense, the first proposal is regarding the interest charged in department stores to workers, since it has been found that they reach up to 300 percent annually on the debt, become practically unpayable and generate financial stress, which which considerably affects people’s mental health and productivity.
The head of Canacintra mentioned that Lagunero workers have high levels of debt with stores that offer credits with weekly payments, which seem low but over time, end up doubling the cost of the item.
Another would be to eliminate the figure of embargo on the bank accounts of companies for debts with the Ministry of Finance, with Infonavit or with the IMSS, since this makes the adequate payment of these debts even more difficult, when most of the time it is due to that the company fell into a spell of lack of liquidity, but this measure is too drastic and means the closure of the business.
The third proposal is aimed at improving the general health of Mexicans, since they have the first place in the world in obesity, which leads to serious problems of diabetes, high blood pressure and other chronic conditions, which is why it is essential encourage the practice of exercise from childhood.
“We are proposing that physical education be taught as a daily mandatory subject at all levels of education in Mexico,” he commented.
