Indian sailors still at Baltimore port after 35 days

Washington: Indian sailors are still trapped in the ship even 35 days after the merchant ship collided with the bridge near America’s Baltimore port. A container ship collided with a bridge in Baltimore on the morning of March 26. Six people working on the bridge were killed in this accident. Since then, 20 Indian crew members are still on the ship after 35 days.
One crew member who was injured was treated ashore and returned to the ship the next day. If all had gone well that night, they would have been in Colombo by Monday or Tuesday.
Fluent Cargo Co. says it plans to move freight to customers by land, air and sea. A container ship will take approximately 33 days and 21 hours to reach Colombo from Baltimore. In March the ship struck a pillar of Scott Bridge, causing it to collapse. It was a 50 year old structure. Thousands of vehicles passed through this bridge every day. American agencies are investigating.
The collision broke the bridge and blocked the passage of all cargo ships. The crew is on board. The FBI has opened a criminal investigation into the incident, in addition to separate ongoing investigations by the National Transportation Safety Board and the Coast Guard Maritime Investigation Board.
