India ‘nothing to worry’ about Kohli’s form – 2024-06-17 13:42:07

He came to the World Cup as the highest run scorer in IPL. India also had high hopes for Virat Kohli. He was sent to open with Rohit Sharma. But till now Kohli could not do much.

He is still unsuccessful in this World Cup with the bat. One against Ireland, four against Pakistan. After that, he could not open the book of runs against the United States. India’s last match against Canada was washed away by rain.

Going to the Super Eight will be a much tougher fight than the group stage. Kohli’s return to form is very important for India. However, the country’s batting coach Vikram Rathore is not worried about Kohli’s form. He spoke about Kohli’s form in the press conference after the match against Canada.

Vikram Rathore said, ‘When I am asked about Virat Kohli whether he is doing well or not. Then all I want to say is that there is nothing to worry about. Kohli is back in form. He has been batting brilliantly since IPL and I can say he is batting well.’

“He is hungry and ready to bat better. I think that’s a good thing as a batter. We are ready for some good matches. We have seen some good innings from him.’

India made it to the Super Eight without losing in the group stage. Only against Pakistan has there been a little fight. They won that match by 6 runs. Apart from that they beat Ireland and USA easily. The last match against Canada was washed away by rain.
