India: Crocodiles invade flooded towns

Constant rainfall is lashing western India, causing flooding in several populated areas.

Twenty-eight people have died in western India in recent days as incessant rains have lashed the region, causing severe flooding and leading to an invasion of crocodiles in some localities.

In response to this, the relief commissioner for the cities of Gandhi Nagar, Alok Pandeynoted that the heavy rainfall that has affected the state of Gujarat Over the past three days, they have caused the deaths of twenty-eight people.

After the incident, the river overflowed and a dozen crocodiles came close to the town. Images that were shared on social media show several examples of these animals walking through the flooded streets or resting on the roofs of some houses that have been flooded due to heavy rainfall.
