With two goals each from Malcom and Al-Davszari, and a goal from Hamdallah, al-Hilal won the Saudi Super Cup final 4-1 against Karim Benzema and N’Golo Kante’s al-Ittihad in Abu Dhabi.
The match was already over and the players were marching off the pitch when one of the fans shouted abuse at al-Ittihad’s goal scorer Abderrazak Hamdallah. Of course, Hamdallah understood the insult, since he is Moroccan and Arabic is his native language. He got angry and splashed the spectator who was insulting him from the water bottle in his hand.
Something happened that has probably never happened before in the history of football. The spectator got a whip from somewhere and struck Hamdallah twice with it!
