In a Facebook post, Gergely Karácsony shared pictures of what Margaret Island looked like after the Peace Procession. In his post, the Mayor of Budapest wrote that the Main Garden had begun the restoration of the island, “that it serves the peaceful rest of the people of Budapest again in its full glory”.

Several users expressed their outrage in the comments under the photos. Someone wrote, “…the organizers should be paid!”. Others drew attention to the fact that despite the large crowd, there was no trash left on the roads.

Saturday, June 1 was held in Budapest the march supporting the ruling party. At the event tens of thousands of people took part, including those who were traditionally transported to Budapest by bus to hear Viktor Orbán’s speech.
