A cold front will arrive in the Carpathian basin on Friday, as a result of which showers and thunderstorms may develop in several places in addition to the sunny periods.
In addition to the veil cloud, stronger cumulus cloud formation is also expected periodically. The wind turning to the northwest and west will pick up in some places. Temporarily strong winds may occur along thunderstorms. Even stronger storms with downpours, hail and gusty winds may occur in places.
The highest daytime temperature is mainly expected to be between 29 and 34 degrees.
In the first days of the last month of summer, a shallow cyclone shapes the weather in the Carpathian Basin, so we can prepare for more changeable days according to Hungaromet’s forecast. However, in addition to the scattered showers and thunderstorms, we can still expect a lot of sunshine, so the heat wave and strong UV radiation will still be on the table.
Colder air flows over the Carpathian Basin, which is why we can experience cold front-like changes, such as headaches, migraines, difficult thinking, and a drop in blood pressure.
Hungaromet has issued a first-level, lemon-yellow warning forecast for the entire country due to thunderstorms, in addition to the high average temperature Győr-Moson-Sopron, Somogy, Baranya, Tolna, Bács-Kiskun, Csongrád-Csanád, Jász-Nagykun-Szolnok, Békés, Hajdú-Bihar and Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg counties.
