Index – Homeland – A fiery debate broke out between Róbert Puzsér and Gergely Huth about the communists and Péter Magyar

The first topic of the debate was the conservative conference in Brussels, at which, among others, Prime Minister Viktor Orbán spoke. The district mayor tried to prevent the organization of the event, at which the police also appeared. According to Gergely Huth, this was terribly sad, but it is a weapon to let Europe know the opinion of the conservatives.

It is horrible in itself that the neo-Bolshevik communist idea has again made inroads in the Western world. It was an attempt to intimidate anyone who dared to speak to the representatives of normality

– said the editor-in-chief of Pesti Srácok.

Róbert Puzsér entered the conversation saying that

these damn communists, bolsheviks, are attacking again, we have to steal all the public procurement from them.

Gergely Huth then spoke about the bridge money scandal, “the communists are back, among them, if we drop a couple of hundred, they don’t knock on the ground, because a hand reaches out.”

“How could it not be prevented by two-thirds? The damn communists have hidden themselves in the gap between the two counties and continue to attack, the rolling dollars are rolling in the gap between the counties,” Róbert Puzsér said in response, adding: “there is no need for victim hysteria, no one banned the conference, the conference was paused for two hours .”

Yes, there was an overactive district mayor who assigned the police, and very quickly, on the same day, the Brussels court invalidated the measure he had taken.

Gergely Huth retaliated by saying that “three mayors chased this conference out of their district, they incited the police against them. If there is no great European press response and they do not realize that it is absolutely counterproductive, then the second day’s event could not have been held either”.

According to Róbert Puzsér, “it’s terrible that Uncle Putin is being persecuted like this in Europe, he has nothing to do, at best he tries to attack Kiev or finance those who spread Uncle Putin’s truth”. The publicist then stated that he is a supporter of freedom of expression, he believes in everyone being able to say what he thinks and feels, “I don’t believe that by banning an event for two hours, a district mayor would demonstrate his power. This demonstrates his weakness”.

Gergely Huth emphasized that the habitus of the organizers – be it MCC’s or Balázsé Orbán’s – is far from Putin’s ideals, there was no such thing among the topics, among others it was about peace. The editor-in-chief drew attention to the fact that Europe and NATO are close to sending a contingent to Ukraine.

“You know, this is Putin’s peace,” interrupted Róbert Puzsér. “It’s about our lives, the lives of our children,” countered Gergely Huth.

Róbert Puzsér emphasized that peace must be sought from the aggressor, not from the attacked party, not from the Ukrainians, nor from the Americans who help the attacked party, “but from the aggressor who overthrew an independent state. This desire for peace is deceitful, it is deceitful to demand peace from Kiev”.

Can what happened in Brussels happen in Hungary? said the next question of the conversation. “Merry Christmas! Not a good answer?” Róbert Puzsér said.

Gergely Huth believes that this could not happen in Hungary, but “it happened regularly before 2010. All right-wing initiatives had to be brought together almost as an underground movement. Now the left-wing opinion-formers are alive, thriving, organizing, protesting, dominating a significant part of the public, and that’s right anyway”.

“So it’s only right that traitors dominate a large part of the public, right?” asked Róbert Puzsér. Gergely Huth emphasized that with one click you can read reviews for and against, “Hungary is a good place, it just hurts to admit it to you”.

Were there communists in the government?

The debate also touched on the agent files, Róbert Puzsér emphasized that there is a consensus on their secrecy between Ferenc Gyurcsány and Viktor Orbán. At the same time, Gergely Huth emphasized that in Hungary the agent files are open to the public, journalists, historians, and family members can go in and “peruse” the agent files to their heart’s content.

“The press can indulge, it’s a treat for the press, if you need to expose someone, you can go in and indulge in the agent’s files,” interrupted Róbert Puzsér, continuing:

Why don’t we ban from politics those who were political or military leaders during the years of the dictatorship, who were the pillars of the dictatorship, why can they still participate in politics today? In this country, the nation has been in charge for 14 years with two-thirds, how does a former MSZMP member get into the government? Are you not that anti-communist? How do former Komcs and main Komcs get into Viktor Orbán’s cabinet? It is easy to fight the communists, who are organized as lizardmen somewhere in the background power, except that there are real-life communists in the government.

Gergely Huth asked the question that

but where are the flesh and blood communists? There are no communists in the government.

Róbert Puzsér mentioned Sándor Pintér and László Kövér, Gergely Huth responded by emphasizing that László Kövér worked as a young researcher at the predecessor of the sociological institute. Róbert Puzsér also interjected that Ferenc Gyurcsány and Viktor Orbán knew each other from KISZ. Gergely Huth then stated that Viktor Orbán invited Ferenc Gyurcsány to a debate at the time and said that youth politicization could not be implemented within these frameworks, new organizations had to be created. According to Gergely Huth, many people joined KISZ in order to go to discos.

Who is the algorithm chasing?

Gergely Huth explained about the question regarding social media: when their channel was blocked, they received a message that they had violated the social principle. Their channel disappeared along with videos with millions of views, and later the same thing happened to Pesti TV’s interface.

– replied the publicist, adding: the algorithm cannot differentiate, “they are not persecuting you, the censor is now an algorithm, not Ildikó Lendvai. We were more intimate with Ildiko Lendvai, because he was able to distinguish the fact-finding from the pedophile content”.

Gergely Huth made it clear that they never published a pedophile video, it was an exposé article, “the confiscated, censored video, which was part of a criminal procedure, was sent by one editor to another in a closed manner”, which was not even attached to the article, “YouTube he could have considered a thousand times what it was about”.

Róbert Puzsér then spoke about how in 2022 the Pesti Srácok was still in second place in terms of the number of convictions in the rectification trials of the Metropolitan Court, and by 2023 it was only fourth. “What’s the problem, the working conditions are bad, how come you didn’t manage to lie last year like the year before?” – the publicist poked Gergely Huth.

The publicist then explained that he was in a similar situation as Péter Magyar is now: “In a similar situation, with lower stakes, in 2019, when I was a candidate for mayor of Budapest in the municipal election. There were character assassinations from two sides, on the one hand, the DK and its public, Gergely Karácsony, the Párbeszéd, the left-liberal circle, and the NER, like an animal, I got the blows from both sides. I know the battlefield stress they feel, what it’s like when they smash a person in public.”

Gergely Huth interjected that “should we feel sorry for you, who eats the public figures on your table in acid? Should we feel sorry for you because they are criticizing and hitting you?”

“In one word, I didn’t ask you to feel sorry for me, Gergely,” emphasized Róbert Puzsér, indicating that he was only talking about how he knows what it’s like when a person is “struck in public”, in which case he “hits back on instinct”, in these blows, usually no force, like shaking a boxer.

Péter Magyar started his political career with a not very informative recording of his own wife. What is on that recording besides Judit Varga saying that the prosecution cannot be influenced?
