Péter Magyar told RTL at the site of the National March organized by him that the police estimated the number of participants in the demonstration to be several hundreds of thousands. This information was confirmed in a later Facebook post by the former head of the Student Loan Center.

During the demonstration, Tamás Menczer, the communications director of Fidesz-KDNP, also posted on his social media page. According to him, Péter Magyar is a left-wing politician, and the left would lead Hungary to war. According to him, only Viktor Orbán and the Fidesz-KDNP can protect the country.

Ágnes Kunhalmi, co-chair of the Hungarian Socialist Party (MSZP) and Ferenc Gyurcsány, leader of the Democratic Coalition, criticized Péter Magyar. The latter did not name Péter Magyar, but addressed him in 11 points. And the co-president of the MSZP put it this way: “A left-wing social democrat cannot and does not want right-wing government, but remains on the left, center-left side, on the side of solidarity, justice and the radical reduction of social differences.”
