“Péter Magyar slapped everyone at the right time,” stated Gábor G. Fodor of Index Specifically with Egon Rónai in his show. According to the political scientist, the vice president of the Tisza Party is not a “slap” that had to be born because it is a warning to the government, but because the structural problems of a long government are inevitable even for Fidesz.
According to him, it is already unique in the world that after fourteen years of government in a country, the only problem of those in power is that they have an opponent. According to G. Fodor, Fidesz’s problem in 2022 was precisely that it did not have a competitor, but now it does, however, according to him, the competition is good for all actors.
By the way, he doesn’t think much of Magyar by himself, he called him a “distraction” and an “empty character” who has never had to face real political challenges, so it is not possible to say whether he is capable or whether he will stick in public life in the long term. .
The XXI. According to the strategy director of the Szazad Institute, the Tisza Party’s vice-president is only driven forward by momentum, because left-wing voters currently see hope in him, which they no longer see in the old, defunct parties and politicians. In the end, however, according to him, the appearance of Péter Magyar on the opposition side will cause huge disappointment.
Orbán and Soros
In the program, Gábor G. Fodor also spoke about his book, which is currently being published, in which he explored the development of the relationship between the Hungarian Prime Minister and György Soros. The book reveals that Viktor Orbán already kicked the dust with the former Fidesz patron in the early nineties. According to the political scientist, although a nice friendship could have developed between the two, Viktor Orbán refused Soros’ support after a while because he wanted to preserve his freedom of decision in politics, and therefore they became opponents.
According to him, the conflict between the two has been going on for many years, but it became really visible in the public eye only in 2015, during the migration crisis. G. Fodor sees that the great struggle of world politics, which is taking place between the sovereignists and the globalists, is concentrated in the duel between these two people.
According to G. Fodor, the Péter Magyar phenomenon is also a manifestation of this. According to him, if you call Péter Magyar a Soros project, many people will nod, but it is worth thinking about how such a political infrastructure can be built in such a short time. According to him, this is only possible if he does it behind someone’s back.
What is interesting is not Péter Magyar, but who is behind him
he declared.
