The traditional Valledupar Media Indoor Football Tournament began this Friday, September 12 on the field of La Popa Park, with the support of the municipal government of Mayor Ernesto Orozco Durán through INDER Valledupar, directed by Alinson González Escorcia.
In this edition, the championship will be played in a round-robin format. The four teams that obtain the most points will advance to the semifinal, from which the finalists will emerge who will define the new champion on December 5, 2025. The title is currently held by Portal Enlace, champion in 2024.
«For us at INDER Valledupar it is a source of pride to support this tournament that has now completed 32 years of promoting the integration of journalists through sport. With the support of Mayor Ernesto Orozco Durán we guarantee uniforms, sports space and awards, because we understand that indoor soccer is also a setting for recreation and fraternity that strengthens our journalistic community,” highlighted Alinson González Escorcia, director of the Institute.
The sports event brings together eight teams, of which five directly represent the media: Portal Enlace, Maravilla Stéreo, Quinto Poder, Primera Línea and Piloneros. The sponsor INDER Valledupar, the Government of Cesar and Influencer will be invited as guests.
The organizer of the championship, Yolis Díaz Arrieta, highlighted the importance of the institutional support received: “The support that INDER Valledupar is giving is good, because it is not only about logistics and uniforms, but about valuing communicators and recognizing in this tournament a space for friendship, integration and healthy living.”
