In Torreón there has been no result of Healthy Water: Román Cepeda

The mayor of Torreón, Román Alberto Cepeda said that in this municipality there is still no visible result of the Healthy Water for La Laguna (ASL) program, but he hopes that it will benefit the citizens, although it is important to define which entity will absorb the operating costs.

Regarding the visit of the president, Andrés Manuel López Obrador to Lerdo to supervise said program, he said he had no details regarding the time and indicated that he had not received an invitation to be present either.

The mayor pointed out that in addition, it is important for the Municipality to know if the National Water Commission has considered any investment plan to change the conduction lines, which are now the priority for better use of water, both that of the federal program and the that is extracted from the wells.

Torreón has 2,500 kilometers of pipeline, which is generally outdated, although the areas in the west and first square are the ones that need to be replaced urgently, as they are the oldest.

Regarding the cost of the federal program, Román Alberto Cepeda indicated that it is not defined which entity is going to absorb it, although he said that citizens definitely would not have to do so at a higher rate than what they pay.
