The National Registry announced that, as in the rest of the country, in the department of Cesar, 299 voting stations were enabled for the registration of ID cards. Of these centers to exercise the right to vote, 200 are in rural areas and 99 in the urban area.
This was made known by the departmental delegate, José del Carmen Ortiz Rangel, in the Electoral Monitoring Committee held this Wednesday in Valledupar, together with territorial authorities and public forces.
The official indicated that at the moment in the studies and analysis in each committee with the municipalities, they have determined that the capital of Cesar and Aguachica is where electoral risks could be presenting the most.
On the other hand, it was established that the registration of ID cards is enabled in the 299 voting stations of the department, of these 200 are in rural areas and 99 in urban areas.
To do this, they work to monitor each process in order to provide all the necessary guarantees to both the electorate and the candidates who enter the race.
In relation to the alleged threats that some candidates for elected positions have received, such as the case of the deputy and former candidate for the Governor of Cesar, Claudia Margarita Zuleta, she expressed that it is an issue that is being analyzed by the Prosecutor’s Office and Police.
