In Arta and Lamia, the searches for the “Old Christians”

Police investigations are in full swing to find the children of the Paleochristian family, who lived in makeshift dwellings and caves in Corinth.

The investigations, according to what has been broadcast in the last few hours, have been extended to Lamia but also to Arta, as the family was accompanied by a young woman who, according to her statement, had moved in the last few days from a corresponding community in Arta.

The 45-year-old father has been arrested on charges of infidelity, endangering a minor and violating the Compulsory School Attendance Act.

By decision of the Corinth prosecutor, the 15-year-old son who was identified with the 45-year-old during the autopsy, is to be transferred to a children’s hospital in Athens.

The case of the Paleochristian community caused the intervention of the Corinth Prosecutor’s Office, which instructed the social services of the municipality of Xilokastro to investigate whether the children go to school and whether their lifestyle exposes them to danger.
