“June 17 Professional Holiday of Medical Workers” was celebrated in Absheron region. The event held at the Heydar Aliyev Center in Khirdalan was attended by the head of Absheron District Executive Power Abdin Farzaliyev, director of Absheron District Central Hospital Azer Ismayilov, heads of law enforcement agencies, families of martyrs and health workers. The participants first visited the monument of the Great Leader and paid tribute to his memory by laying flowers in front of it.
Publika.az reports that the event began with the playing of the National Anthem of Azerbaijan, commemorating the dear memory of the National Leader and our martyrs with a 1-minute silence.
Abdin Farzaliyev, the head of the Absheron District Executive Power, made a speech and said that according to the Decree signed by the National Leader of our people, Heydar Aliyev, on June 4, 2001, June 17 is celebrated as the Professional Holiday of Medical Workers in our country. In the field of attention paid by the Great Leader to this field, the health care of Azerbaijan has made a great progress. National Leader Heydar Aliyev has always treated people’s health issues as a matter of destiny, and has repeatedly emphasized that this field plays a decisive role in the life of society.
Today, as in other fields, the health field is experiencing a new stage of development as a result of the attention and care of Mr. Ilham Aliyev, the follower of the Great Leader’s political course, the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The construction and commissioning of hundreds of medical institutions in recent years, the strengthening of their material and technical base, the introduction of new medical technologies to our country, their application, and the implemented reforms indicate that the state is paying great attention to this field in our republic.
It was noted that the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, headed by the First Vice-President of our republic Mehriban Aliyeva, has exceptional services in implementing a number of state programs in the field of healthcare. Thus, the Fund has signed many big projects in the organization of care and treatment of patients with diabetes and thalassemia, conducting blood donation campaigns, and improving the work of protecting the health of mothers and children.
Then, the director of Absheron District Central Hospital, Azer Ismayilov, said that it opens up new opportunities for improving the activity of medical institutions and raising medical services to the level of modern requirements. Ensuring the availability of medical services for everyone is also a clear example of the high level of care shown to the population by the head of state.
Then Tahmina Valiyeva, head of the medical insurance department of Absheron district Central Hospital, wife of the martyr of the Patriotic War, Ilgar Valiyev, said that along with other military personnel, medical workers also wrote their names in our glorious history by showing unparalleled heroism and bravery in the Patriotic War. At the same time, the construction of modern medical facilities and the provision of the latest medical technologies to the people in our liberated regions are among the priority issues.
Then, on the occasion of the Professional Holiday of Medical Workers on June 17, the Executive Power of Absheron District paid tributes to the mother of martyr Javid Hasanov, the employee of Baku Railway Polyclinic No. 2 Mirvari Hasanova, the wife of martyred medical service lieutenant colonel Rasim Abdullayev Saadat Ibrahimova, the mother of martyred medical service lieutenant Mirlatif Agayev Tayiba Aghayeva, the mother of the martyred lieutenant, military medic Turgut Khalilbeyli, Almaz Huseynova, the mother of the martyred Murad Arzullayev, Laura Arzullayeva, an employee of Absheron RMX, and other medical workers who distinguished themselves in their activities were given honorary degrees, and commemorative photos were taken.
