Implementation of Employee Well Being, PT Pegadaian Inaugurates Daycare Services

JAKARTA – On the occasion of the 79th Indonesian Independence Day, PT Pegadaian inaugurated a daycare service as a form of implementing the Employee Well-being Policy (EWP) which also helps the struggle of working parents in the company environment in balancing work and family. This inauguration was held at the Pegadaian Kenari Office, Central Jakarta, on Tuesday (20/08).

The inauguration of the daycare was marked by a ribbon-cutting ceremony carried out by the President Director of PT Pegadaian, Damar Latri Setiawan and the Director of Human Capital of PT Pegadaian, ERA Taufiq accompanied by the Chairperson of the Central Pegadaian Employees’ Wives Association (IIKP), Hesti Damar.

In line with the appeal of the Minister of SOEs of the Republic of Indonesia, Erick Thohir, for SOE companies to provide childcare facilities as a form of support in efforts to improve employee welfare, so that parents can work effectively without neglecting the needs of their children. In line with this, the President Director of PT Pegadaian, Damar Latri Setiawan said that the company continues to strive to pay attention to the issue of mental health and well-being of all employees.

“The company continues to strive to pay attention to issues mental health and well being employees. The hope is that by opening this daycare, it can be a solution for employees as working parents to be calmer in carrying out their daily work, because the children get the right attention and care, and in a good and healthy environment,” said Damar.

Not only as a place to play, Pegadaian Daycare is designed in such a way as to provide comfort, meet children’s needs, and pay attention to aspects of children’s growth and development through various facilities, including Baby Room, Toddler Room, Toddler Room, Playroom, Children’s Creativity Room, Lactation Room, and Special Toilet for Children.

“We designed this daycare not only as a place to play, but also a place to socialize, learn, get nutritious food, and be a space for children to grow and hone their creativity. We hope that this facility can be utilized optimally and can produce positive value for improving the welfare of Pegadaian employees’ families,” added Damar.
